The Paracca Family name is synonymous with floor- ing in Pittsburgh and Paracca Interiors, located ex- clusively on Route 8, Valencia, has a long history of offering beautiful floors and excellent installation.
Paracca Interiors got started over 50 years ago when in 1961, John Paracca left his father’s business to begin his own floor- ing company out of the humble beginnings of his garage which acted as his showroom. In the early 1970’s, John pur- chased a former gas station on Route 8 in Penn Township and transformed it into John Paracca Flooring. John worked hard installing and selling floors while often taking his youngest child Pete to job sites to teach him the trade, hoping to pass his talents on to his son to follow in his footsteps. John and his wife Margie renamed the business Paracca Interiors to offer a full range of interior decorating products. When John sadly passed away suddenly in 1980, Margie began overseeing the business full time while raising their three children. Pete be- gan working as much as allowed while finishing high school and used his teachings from his father to install floors. Upon graduation, Pete began working full time.
By 2001, Pete and his wife Sallie purchased the business from his mother and joined forces with the nations largest national buying group for floors, Flooring America.
While the business continued to thrive, they recognized the need to expand and in 2008, they built a brand new show- room, designed to provide an exceptional layout for selecting from every type of flooring imaginable. With over three gen- erations of influence, Pete and Sallie’s two sons may soon be the next generation to carry the flooring legacy.
